Campership Program of Chicago
- 1st-year camper grants: Up to $1,000.
Eligibility: Jewish youth in Illinois attending a session of at least 19 days who have not previously attended camp for this long or who have done so only once before. Scholarships are NOT need-based and are independent of any other grants received. All ages are eligible.

Champaign-Urbana Jewish Federation
1st-time camper grants: $350 overnight camp, $50 day camp.
Need-based grants: $100-$2,000 for overnight camp, up to $250 for day camp. Criteria include family income, size, and special circumstances, such as illness or unemployment.
Bernice Wax Scholarship goes to a child showing special concern for needs of others.
Eligibility: All Jewish children in the greater CU area attending an accredited resident Jewish summer camp or a local Jewish day camp.
CU Jewish Endowment Foundation
- Michael & Elizabeth Shapiro Camp Scholarship Fund
Eligibility: CU-area children attending Olin Sang Ruby Union Institute.
Lewis Family Fund: Supports full or partial scholarships to Jewish camps.
Charles R. & Helen Loeb Fund: Supports scholarships to Jewish camps.
Sinai Temple Sisterhood Camp Scholarship Fund: Supports partial tuition scholarships to URJ camps.
Birnbaum & Tepper Merit Award: Supports full 2-week scholarships to Olin Sang Ruby Union Institute for children who are actively engaged in their Judaism.
Eligibility: Children of Sinai Temple members in good standing.

To apply for CU Jewish Federation, CU Jewish Endowment Foundation, and Sinai Temple camp scholarships you need only fill out one consolidated application.

Individual Camp Scholarships
Scholarships are often available from individual camps. Camps want to help ensure all Jewish youth seeking a Jewish camp experience are able to attend. Be sure to talk to your camp about scholarships.
