CU Theater Company’s Kathy Murphy Student Production is taking the show on the road this summer, performing outdoors for small groups in the C-U area. The opening night will be hosted by CUJF at Sinai Temple’s patio. The Driveway Cabaret will be a 50-minute show featuring a cast of 10 local youth 13-18 years old performing solos and duets from Broadway standards to newer music and everything in between. This production is directed by Ruth Zielke with musical direction by Cheryl Forest-Morganson and Aaron Kaplan. CUTC is a nonprofit community theater company that provides the CU community with entertainment, education, and opportunities for involvement in all aspects of the theatrical arts.
To ensure proper social distancing, we will be able to accommodate 40 audience members at Sinai Temple’s patio. Everyone, including CUJF staff and CUTC performers and crew, will need to be masked during the entire event, and confirm upon arrival that they don’t have any COVID or cold symptoms. Performers will be 30 ft away from the audience. Audience members from different families will be seated 6 ft apart.
  • Audience members need to register by June 9th with the number of people in their party.
  • Seats will be given on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  • Seating will be pre-assigned to ensure proper social distancing.
  • Once all seats are taken, invitations for the virtual performance will be issue.
For those who are unable to attend in person, the performance will be live streamed by Darrell Hoemann and Mike Loyd on YouTube via a private link. Replay of the live stream will be possible through this link for a short period of time. The link will be sent upon request.
