Passover starts on the evening of Friday, April 19th, 2019 and ends on the evening of Saturday, April 27th, 2019. Pre-registration is required for community seders. Please see an overview below. For the most up-to-date information, please confirm with the congregation or organization that is organizing the event that you would like to attend.

Check out PJ Libraray's Passover for Kids website has activities, recipes, videos. and songs just for the kiddos in your life! Check out their page to learn about how to adapt your seder for kids and age appropriate passover books. They also have a spotify playlist for kids for passover!

Chabad


Chabad offers community seders, chametz selling, and student meals. Find more information on their website

 

Seders

First Seder:  Friday, April 19 at 6:45pm at Grand banquet Hall Tent at Chabad

Second Seder:  Saturday, April 20 at 8:15pm at Chabad

Subsidized Costs: Student / Child: $18 per seder per person · Adult: $36 per seder per person 
Full Cost: $50
Chabad invotes you to become a partner to help them continue offering subsidized costs for students and others who cannot afford to pay the full cost of the seder. 

No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.

Sinai/Hillel


Sinai is co-sponsoring community seders held at Hillel. They have a variety of themed options. They will also serve other meals throughout the holiday. Find more information on the Hillel website

 

Seders

First Seder:  Friday, April 19

Community Seder at 6:00 p.m. 

Home style Seder with Rabbi Shlomo and Ahava at 7:45 p.m.

Traditional Seder at 7:45 p.m.

Second Seder:  Saturday, April 20 

Queer Seder at 6:00 p.m.

Turbo Traditional Seder at 8:00 p.m.

Cost: $22 for community members over 13, $10 for children, Free for children under 4 
 

No one will be turned away from seders or meals due to inability to pay. Please contact our Executive Director, Erez Cohen (erez@illinihillel.org) for special arrangements.
