School's-Out Camp

 

Schools Out Camp is in partnership with CUJF PJ Library and Sinai Temple. Schools Out Camp programming is supported greatly by the Implementing Partnership Engagement Grant from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.

WINTER BREAK CAMP

December 22, 23, 24 and 26, 2025

 

Time: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM.

Drop-off between 8:30am-9:00am

Pick-up between 3:30pm-4:00pm

Cost Per Camper: $240

Location: Sinai Temple, 3104 Windsor Rd, Champaign IL

Ages: Pre-K  (4yrs) - 6th Grade

Winter Camp

 

December 23, 24, 26, 27, 2024

During the last full week of December, we put on our winter hats and coats as we bundled up for chill activites and seasonal fun! Each day, campers made a project relating to the holiday of Chanukah, read PJ stories, and got silly with snacktime. On Friday, camp was followed by a group Menorah Lighting and special Shabbat-Chanukah dinner - with dinner prepped by campers! Families came together to enjoy delicious soups and latkes, sing Chanukah songs, and see all of the wonderful things the campers did that week. You can see some photos above!

Election Day Camp

 

November 5th, 2024

  • Our selection of election related books!

  • Campers unanimously voted to play Keepy-Uppy over Freeze Dance

On November 5th, while parents headed to the polling centers, PJ Library and Sinai Temple had a day filled with special election day activities! Children were able to choose their party, either Team Latka or Team Hamentashen, relax with yoga, make campaign posters, solve clues on a voting scavenger hunt, and eat Latkies and Hamentashen. We also read several books and discussed the importance of elections! You can check out some photos from our camp above.

Summer Camp

 

July 22-26, 2024

  • Our campers had a blast flying this 50ft Solar Balloon!

  • Just one of many fort designs that were seen during camp.

  • The books that we collected during our book swap filled three tables!

  • Some campers showed their exploratory side during snack time.

  • Our campers had fun making a stained glass chalk drawing!

  • Keepy-Uppy turned out to be very popular!

This past July, PJ Library and Sinai Temple partnered to have a blast during their one week summer camp. Days were themed with a Jewish Value, beginning and ending with the reading of a PJ Book! Campers had a blast swimming outdoors and exploring the different crafts of the day. You can check out some highlights of this summer to get you hyped for upcoming Schools Out Camps.
